Trip to Roselands - 7-8 March
Our courageous Grade 1s went on their first overnight trip of their Clifton journey. The buses were buzzing with excitement and anticipation, as we set off to Roselands camp. We had incredible weather, which made the activities that much more fun.
The obstacle course was the first stop and we were so proud of the teamwork and determination shown by our children. After lunch we walked to the dam and spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking, going down the water slide and tubing. We then walked back via the Golden Kiwis, where the children delighted in eating the fresh fruit that had fallen off the vines.
After a delicious dinner and a quick night walk with our torches, the children were ready for bed. We are so proud of the resilience shown by so many who were away from home for the first time ever! After a delicious breakfast, the children had a go at summiting the climbing the wall and had a few bunny cuddles.
It was so sad to say goodbye to the incredible facilitators, before getting in the buses and heading back to their precious families.
