Grade 0 - Termly Update

Twenty eager little 5 year olds arrived in their Chameleon classroom at the beginning of the year to start their Grade 0 experience. The term has been productive and the children have played, developed new friendships and learnt through discovery and exploration. Firm favourite activities remain their Psychomotor lessons, swimming lessons and Show and Tell opportunities. Many interesting little critters and larger creatures have spent a morning at school, including two ostriches who were two days old. These unique experiences contribute to our children's learning and development.

The boys and girls have engaged in multi-sensory experiences whilst playing in the gardens, creating rivers and dams during free play sessions and when learning concepts for pre-reading and numeracy development. A ball skills program has been introduced this term and the children have been creatively engaged in developing their hand eye co-ordination using a variety of equipment. A visit from the Easter bunny was a fitting treat to end off our term of childhood imagination and the wonder of life.
