Dear Parents,

I trust this message finds you well. As we step into the second week of the academic year, I am delighted to share with you the positive energy and enthusiasm that has characterised our school community. The school grounds are buzzing with the sounds of learning, laughter, and collaboration, setting the tone for a remarkable year ahead.

We have an exciting lineup of events planned for the upcoming weeks, including the community get-together on Friday evening. These events provide valuable opportunities for you to actively participate in your child's educational experience. Please could I ask that you update your calendars accordingly.

Effective communication remains essential for the success of our school. Please feel free to reach out to any staff member should you wish to raise any issue/s. In addition, please remember to regularly check the D6 for important updates, announcements, and resources. We value your input, so feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions or feedback.

The success of our students is a collaborative effort between the school and parents. Your involvement and support play a crucial role in shaping a positive and enriching educational experience. We encourage you to attend parent-teacher meetings, engage in school activities, and maintain an open line of communication with our staff.

We are excited about the promising year that lies ahead and are grateful for the trust you place in us to educate and nurture your children. Together, we will continue to build a strong, supportive, and thriving Clifton Nottingham Road community.

Staff News:

Congratulations to Sanka Belcher and Kevin Davies who recently tied the knot. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and shared adventures as they embark on this wonderful journey.

Inisght into one of our new Interns:

Justin Kufal was born in Pietermaritzburg at St. Anne’s Hospital. Justin’s nicknames are “Juice”, and “Kufdog”. For him the best part of being at Clifton is being in the quiet and surrounded by nature. He loves feeling like he is away from the business of the rest of the world. Justin has a younger brother who is 16 years old. On Justin’s day off, he would go surfing at the beach and before he dies, he wants to see a highland cow and own a 1966 Volkswagen Kombi in red.

If Justin were to receive a R5000 voucher, he would pay off his studies and buy new golf clubs. Justin doesn't get to do it often, but he's all about surfing when he can. He also enjoys swimming in the ocean and relaxing in the sun.

The best advice he ever received was to grab every opportunity with both hands. Work hard and never give up!

Monique Langlois - Learning Support Coordinator and Therapist in the Junior Primary

Monique is a Remedial therapist who offers in-class support, as well as small-group learning support, in the Junior Primary.

Megan Osler - Learning Support Therapist in the Senior Primary and Private Educational Psychologist

Megan is an Educational Psychologist who works as an in-house Learning Support Therapist in the Senior Primary. She offers in-class as well as small-group support. Megan also runs a private practice, and is available for consultation on a private basis.
