Clifton Art Adorns Local Design Expo - 15-17 March

Over this past weekend, the Fordoun Hotel & Spa played host to a spectacular interior design and décor event that brought together creatives, designers, and enthusiasts alike.

Nicola Hadfield, the visionary founder of Decorex SA, renowned for its premier design and décor exhibitions, brought her bespoke event to Nottingham Road nestled in the picturesque Drakensberg Mountains. The event, aptly titled "A Beautiful Day," promised and delivered a sensory feast with distinguished speakers, captivating art displays, and carefully curated design exhibits.

Clifton’s art department was approached to assist in providing art pieces to add extra pizzaz to an already classy event. Under the guidance of Clifton’s art teacher, Mrs Cahill, the chandeliers in the beautiful expo centre were adorned with flocks of 3-D birds meticulously and lovingly crafted out of paper mâché. These avian creations, born from the hands and imaginations of Clifton's young artists, added a whimsical and charming element to the already enchanting surroundings.

Upon learning that the chandeliers were decorated by the Clifton children, the audience erupted into applause in appreciation for the exceptional artwork created by the Clifton children.

Well done to our Clifton boys and girls for adding their own special Midlands magic to the event.
