End of the year buzz from our Principal, Kenna Molina:
Dear Parents,
We made it! As we wrap up this year, I want to thank you all for your partnership and another successful school year. Our theme this year was "Building Community" and we were excited to be able to offer things like the Old Fashion Family Fair, our first annual Bear Family Campout, Picnic and Play opportunities, musical theater, after school sports, the Art Show and after school clubs. We are already planning for more events next year! Make sure you read the Buzz for all the details!
This time of year is also filled with "Cheers and Tears" as we say goodbye to some team members and welcome others to the Bear Family. I, for one, don't really love change, but I do love when our team members are able to follow their dreams and prioritize their family.
We say goodbye to:
Carlene Forehand, C'lectives Teacher
Angela McCollum, C'lectives Teacher
Nonie Manker, Educational Specialist
Mary Macfarlane, Math Specialist
Janet Serrano, Kindergarten Teacher
Angie Collins, Occupational Therapist
Jill McNiff, our fearless and dedicated Assistant Principal (and former Kindergarten teacher)
They have all been an integral part of our team and while they will be missed, we wish them much happiness!
We say congratulations to Anita Manata, Capri Allmon, and Gilda Gearhart in their new adventures as retirees.
I also love it when we find just the right people to join our team or step into a new role.
We welcome :
Jacque Alvarado as our new Assistant Principal
Maddy Botka, Kindergarten Teacher
Patty Xaysanapannha, First Grade teacher
LeAnne Williams, Math Specialist

Please make note that The Classical Academies will no longer send notification letters to parents regarding their symptomatic student. Letters will still be sent in relation to students who report a COVID-19 positive.
Here are some important reminders regarding our symptomatic student policy:
Students who appear ill (ie. fever, stomach aches, diarrhea, stomach pains, vomiting) should not be sent to school.
If your student is sick, please call the front office and notify the teacher/ES.
Cold, allergy, flu and COVID symptoms all look alike. It is important to not self-diagnose these symptoms.
If your student experiences any of the following symptoms: fever, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, body aches, more tired than normal, we recommend taking a COVID test when symptoms begin and before returning to school. Free test kits are available at the front office.
