TCA Families,

We are so pleased to tell you that we have a new counselor at TCA! I am not going anywhere, but we are excited to have extra support for all of our students. Please help me welcome Miss Viviana to our Bear Family. If you see her around campus, please say hello!

Hi! I am Miss Viviana.. I am the new part-time school counselor for our Bear Valley Campus! I am excited and honored to be a part of this team and to be working alongside Mrs. Gravelle.

About me: I was born and raised in Escondido. A passion of mine has always been about giving back to the youth from my community. I love to watch and play a good match of soccer, read a book by the beach and try new restaurants!

SEL Workshops (2).pdf

Check out this cool opportunity for your students to spend time with our counseling team as they are guided through a number of relevant and useful topics! These workshops will be held during Unit 3 Conference week. Use the QR code on the flyer to Reserve your space today!

Virtual Calm Room

The counseling team has developed a Virtual Calm Room as a resource for our school community. Sometimes life is challenging and we experience distress. This Virtual Calm Room was created to serve as a break and to help you find new ways to identify & manage strong emotions and build your resilience. These resources will hopefully allow you to reset back to a calm state of mind and body.

We encourage you to make it a priority to care for yourself in healthy ways. Not all coping strategies will feel right so we encourage you to explore some and find what works for YOU!

Did you miss the coffee chat - "How to help your students with anxiety"? If so, please use the link below to watch this informative video. A Important Message from our TCA Health Tech:

Dear Families,

We are full swing into the cold, allergy, flu and holiday season so please be reminded that certain viruses can spread very quickly. Your cooperation in keeping our community healthy is greatly appreciated. Please remind your students to wash their hands often and to not share food and drinks. It is always good to wash hands or use hand sanitizer before eating.

Here are some important reminders regarding our Sick Child policy:

  • If your student is sick, please call the front office or notify the health tech, Stephanie Pillsbury at Spillsbury@classicalacademy.com

  • Cold, allergy, flu and COVID symptoms all look alike. It is important to not self-diagnose these symptoms

  • If your student experiences any of the following symptoms: fever, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, body aches, more tired than normal, we recommend taking a COVID test when symptoms begin and before returning to school. Free test kits are available at the front office

  • A student must be fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicine (i.e. acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen) for 24 hours before returning to school

Thank you and please stay healthy!

Are TCA students able to participate in CAMS sports?

Yes! TCA students can participate, however, there are tryouts and not every student gets chosen. If we have 50 students try out for flag football and they only have space for 20 students, 30 students are not able to play.

Students must be in good academic standing to participate.

For all upcoming sports, you can go ahead and complete the waiver form. Fee will be collected from students that make the roster if cuts are necessary. All fees and waivers submit to CAMS front office.
