Encouragement, Kindness and Understanding
Mrs. G's Garden
TCA Families - Hello from Mrs. G's Garden!
TCA Families,
What a wonderful beginning of a year this has been! Your amazing kiddos continue to grow resilience, strengthen community bonds, and bloom through the generous outpouring of love and support you have given them.
As this calendar year comes to a close, my sincere hope is that all of our TCA Bears, families, and friends are able to experience true peace and joy. Our key of the unit, This Is It! reminds us to pause and appreciate the present. What better gift could we give ourselves and our loved ones than the sheer beauty of our presence with them physically and emotionally? This time of year is notorious for chaos, expectations, and heightened emotions. I encourage each and every one of you to take a deep breath and enjoy the many successes you have, whether large or teeny, to help cultivate an attitude of gratitude towards the magnificence of the present moment.
Take care, enjoy as much as you can, and know that you are so very loved and appreciated!
My best this Holiday Season,
Mrs. G

Virtual Calm Room
The counseling team has developed a Virtual Calm Room as a resource for our school community. Sometimes life is challenging and we experience distress. This Virtual Calm Room was created to serve as a break and to help you find new ways to identify & manage strong emotions and build your resilience. These resources will hopefully allow you to reset back to a calm state of mind and body.
We encourage you to make it a priority to care for yourself in healthy ways. Not all coping strategies will feel right so we encourage you to explore some and find what works for YOU!

The Bee Kind! Corner
Throughout the school year, students will be featured in the Bee Kind! Corner for above and beyond acts of kindness. We choose kindness every day here at TCA!
Has your student demonstrated extra kindness? We want to celebrate our students as they go above and beyond to be kind to others!
Please complete THIS FORM to nominate your child.
Rise Reid 7C-Mrs. Grimes
Rise is very aware of other's needs and shows mindfulness when interacting with others. Specifically, he asked me recently to purchase two pizza lunches so we could give one to Tim. He noticed how Tim takes care of the students, including himself, and wanted to do something in return. Rise picks up garbage on campus when he sees it (I've been with him on many occasions!) and takes pride in opening doors for others. More recently at the family campout he helped others break down their sites and we walked the campus for litter and other left items. He's a gem!
Nominated by Sonora Mather (Mother)
Yaretzi Lopez Mendoza 1A-Mrs. Duncan
Yarzeti helps her classmates and compliments everyone with her kind words. Manners are important to her and she always makes sure to use "please" and "thank you". She understands other’s emotions and feelings and is not afraid to stand up for herself and others.
Nominated by Casimira Mendoza (Mother)

Are TCA students able to participate in CAMS sports?
Yes! TCA students can participate, however, there are tryouts and not every student gets chosen. If we have 50 students try out for flag football and they only have space for 20 students, 30 students are not able to play.
Students must be in good academic standing to participate.
For all upcoming sports, you can go ahead and complete the waiver form. Fee will be collected from students that make the roster if cuts are necessary. All fees and waivers submit to CAMS front office.
