TCA Parent Led Clubs
Chess Club Shout-out!
I would like to give a Bear BUZZ shoutout to our very own chess club on campus! We meet Wednesdays after school and my kids have a great time! I am so incredibly grateful for the parent involvement, support, and commitment. It has been a joy to see this evolve into something more than just an after school club but also a loving community where kids and parents alike are able to build friendships and support each other! Way to go, chess club!

Attention 8th graders!
We are looking for one student to represent our 2024 8th grade C track class by giving a speech at 8th grade promotion. This speech should be about what life was like on C track, some fond relatable memories, and an encouragement to your classmates moving on to high school. School staff and educational specialists will vote on their favorite speech. Even though not all will be selected, all speeches submitted will be shared via a link in the Buzz for the whole school to enjoy. Please note that if your speech is selected, you will be presenting the speech in front of CAMS and Bear Valley 8th graders and their families, so it must be rehearsed until you are comfortable delivering it in front of a large group.

Reporting your student's illness:
Please make note that The Classical Academies will no longer send notification letters to parents regarding their symptomatic student. Letters will still be sent in relation to students who reports a COVID-19 positive.
Here are some important reminders regarding our symptomatic student policy:
Students who appear ill (ie. fever, stomach aches, diarrhea, stomach pains, vomiting) should not be sent to school.
If your student is sick, please call the front office and notify the teacher/ES.
Cold, allergy, flu and COVID symptoms all look alike. It is important to not self-diagnose these symptoms.
If your student experiences any of the following symptoms: fever, stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, body aches, more tired than normal, we recommend taking a COVID test when symptoms begin and before returning to school. Free test kits are available at the front office.
A student must be fever free without the use of fever-reducing medicine (i.e. acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen) for 24 hours before returning to school.
If you have any questions, please reach out to healthandsafety@classicalacademy.com.
Thank you and please stay healthy!
