We did it!! We made it to the finish line of the 2021-2022 school year. This wouldn’t have happened without each and every single team member that works on the Bear Valley campus, or without each of you. When we planned for this year we thought Covid was in the rearview mirror. Unfortunately we were mistaken. We started out with so many team members that were sick or quarantined we had to push back the start of on campus C’lectives. We weren’t able to have parents on campus, had to cancel field trips and on-campus events, and we had to continue to pivot. Thanks to the amazing ES team stepping up to sub we were able to keep almost all of our classes open! Upon our return in January we had over 24 team members out and were close to having to go remote for a few weeks. Again, thanks to the ES team and so many others that stepped up to sub we made it through!
Those were some difficult waters to navigate for sure, but it has been so amazing to finish the year with mask choice, parents back on campus, the on-campus Art Day, and an in-person award ceremony for the first time in 3 years. We all needed this and we can see and feel the difference around campus! As we look to ending the year with our Wave field trip and an on-campus 8th grade promotion I am thankful for how far we’ve come this year.
Our Bear Team is grateful to have you as partners and we are excited about things we have planned for next year. Thank you for remaining positive and flexible this year, thank you for trusting us with your children, thank you for choosing TCA as your school. We love our TCA kiddos and parents!
I know I speak for the entire Bear Valley team when I wish you all an amazing, restful, renewing, refreshing summer. We look forward to seeing you all in August.
Much love,
Kenna Molina, Principal

We Need Your Help
We would love to offer trainings and chats on a more consistent basis next year. Is there something you would like more training or information on? Please use the link below to share your thoughts or ideas for sessions that you would find helpful.
Parent Trainings or Coffee Chat Ideas
Health and Safety are PRIORITY to the
TCA Bear Family
Dear Families,
It has come to our attention that we have parents disregarding our traffic rules during drop-off and pick-up. It is VERY important for EVERYONE'S safety that these rules are followed. DO NOT SPEED OR MAKE U-TURNS in the middle of the street and stay out of the RED ZONE. This is dangerous for our students, staff and other parents and it creates congestion and an unsafe environment. We also ask that you walk your students across the street to and from the gate. Please be courteous and let's look out for each other!!
ALSO:
As we wind down the school year we have a couple reminders: IF your student is feeling sick in any way, stomach ache, nausea, sore throat, fever, headaches, body aches, cold like symptoms, runny nose, and excessively tired, please keep your student at home and have the student take an at home Covid test before returning to school. We have several illnesses going around the community, stomach bugs, the Flu, colds and Covid.
If you are in need of Covid testing kits for your students, please call the school and we can provide you with kits in our front office.

"Wonderful families and friends. We are winding down the school year with a special focus on Flexibility. These amazing students have shown an incredible amount of flexibility these last two years! As a fun art project, we have had students color beach balls to represent each child's unique personality. Then, students were asked to fill in how they "Roll With It" and remain calm during times of change. It's amazing to witness such an abundance of strength amongst our student population!!!
It's AAIP Heritage Month. Looking for some new reading material? Check out one of these great books!
Virtual Calm Room
The counseling team has developed a Virtual Calm Room as a resource for our school community. Sometimes life is challenging and we experience distress. This Virtual Calm Room was created to serve as a break and to help you find new ways to identify & manage strong emotions and build your resilience. These resources will hopefully allow you to reset back to a calm state of mind and body.
We encourage you to make it a priority to care for yourself in healthy ways. Not all coping strategies will feel right so we encourage you to explore some and find what works for YOU!
Do you have an inspirational story of achievement or success to share?
TCA would like to share some inspirational stories with the Classical Academy family. We are searching for topics such as: student achievement, family success, motivational accounts.
