Staff Shout-Out Form

All Lion Family -in my short time being here i have felt the love, in many different ways from each of you! thank you all for accepting me and trusting me on being your attendance clerk :)  love always Mrs.Ramirez P

Allison Payne -  Last week when the we were experiencing bad weather alerts, Ms. Payne called my cell phone at 5:00 to make sure that I was safe at home instead of working at school like I do so often. She cared for me like I was "family". Thank you so much, Ms. Payne, for "never leaving a teammate" behind! Love, Ms. Luttrell

Thank you!

Thank you SO MUCH for all cards, treats, and gifts on Monday for Principal’s Day. I truly appreciate all  you did to make me feel special on Monday. I am so thankful and blessed to be a part of this amazing staff and community! 😊

Summer Construction

Just as a heads up!  Our building will be under construction this summer. The building will be closed as soon as school is over. The construction crew will be coming in starting on May 26th.

We will be getting the following:

-New cameras (outside and inside the building)

-New fobs (outside and inside the building)

-New intercom system

-New clocks

-Work done to improve the ventilation system in the Music Room (it stinks in there)

-Some work done on our entryway office windows

-Work done in gym and ceiling painted

What does this mean for you?

-If you are working summer school, Melinda will let you know what room you will be in. We will only be using the 4th and 5th grade hallway, Mrs. Rodriguez and Mrs. Ibarra's classrooms. This is 13 classrooms. ALL OTHER ROOMS WILL BE OFF LIMITS. You will need to pack your items and have them moved to the summer school room prior to the last day of school.

-You can leave items on the walls but be aware that something may get ripped. If it will hurt your feelings if something is broken, make sure to move it.

-Declutter your room so that construction can come in. Throw things away. Your room should be able to be worked. In.

-You need to take anything personal or anything that means something to you and pack it away or take it home.

-All teachers need to take their laptop home with them.

-Promethean Boards will need to be put into a corner and the screen facing the wall so nothing can hit the screen.

-The building will be closed until AUGUST 3RD

STAAR Schedule - 3, 4, 5 Math is on Wednesday!

STAAR Break Schedule, Check-list, and Small Group Schedule (linked here)

Reminders for Wednesday:

  • PK-2nd grade: NO TECHNOLOGY USE. Please help us keep the bandwidth strong for our 3rd-5th grade testers.

  • Please keep classroom doors unlocked on Wednesday during testing (testing rooms)

  • Students have the opportunity to test all day. Please be mindful of noise in the hallways upstairs and downstairs as students will be testing in several areas.

Devices and Library EOY

This summer CFBISD is collecting devices from PK-1 graders and all 5th graders.

The district is NOT collecting devices from 2nd-4th graders. If the child is NOT returning next year, we collect those devices. If they leave over the summer and take our device, we will address that in the fall. The district is willing to take the loss. They also disable the device remotely if a family does not return.

All student library books are due Friday, May 12th.

5th grade devices and charges are due by Friday, May 19th.

All PK and 1st grade iPads and chargers due Friday, May 19.

All teacher library books and materials due Monday, May 22.

(Also, if a teacher is staying in CFB and moving campuses, the laptop goes with them..)

Stay tuned for a plan from Sally.

Say Yes To New Adventures....

As staff members share their news for next year, I will post it here.

Once a Lion, Always a Lion! Congrats on your new adventure!

Madison Pye

Mrs. Pye's new adventure will be working closer to home.

Kathryn Cunningham

Mrs. Cunningham's new adventure will be heading back home! She will be moving out of state to be with her family.

MacKenzie Kohler

Mrs. Kohler's new adventure is moving to an outpatient pediatric feeding and speech clinic much closer to her house.

Corey Lee

Mr. Lee's new adventure is relocating out of this area due to his wife getting a new job

Lion Leader

Each 9 weeks we will choose Lion Leaders for each grade level.

We need nominations for Habit 6 AND Habit 7 The reason we are delayed is that I needed to order more shirts and it is taking a while. I will celebrate BOTH of these habits when I get the new shirts.

How is a student chosen to be a Lion Leader?
One boy and one girl is chosen per grade level.

How is the student recognized?
The students will be recognized on FB and a treat with the principals. They will also have their picture on our leadership wall.

Who chooses the student?
The grade level team. Team leader submits the name by Friday, May 5th
