Welcome Ms. Abigail Johnson, Interventionist (Working with WIN Team)!
Starting 1/23: Hello! My name is Abigail (Abi) Johnson. I am so excited to be joining the Carrollton Elementary Family this semester! I have had a passion for teaching since I was in Elementary school and have wanted to make a difference in the world through education. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, volleyball, running, drawing, painting, and hanging out with friends. I also currently work at Group Dynamix in Carrollton on the weekends, where I get to connect to kids and adults in fun ways. I hope to start up a running or soccer club for the students this school year. I can’t wait to meet everyone!
Thank you for meeting with us to update student progress. Here are the data cards we created!
Thank you for all you do for our students!
GOAL for EOY:
100% Growth
65% Meet or Exceed Projected Growth
MOY Data:
83% Growth
54% Meet or Exceed Projected Growth
You should have received an email regarding the Upbeat Survey. I'm asking you to take this survey so we (the administration) can get feedback on our school's culture and feelings on the workplace here. Much of the information within the survey is used in the campus improvement plan.
The survey is completely anonymous to me and our school leaders. Please answer each question as honestly as possible as this gives us a chance to gauge our school's effectiveness in several areas mid-year and direct any school-wide improvements. The survey administration window is January 9 through January 20. Thanks!

Monday Morning Message
Please make sure to send out your Monday Morning Message. This is an expectation for all teachers. As a parent, communication is so important! This is also something you can put on your TTESS for communication.
When looking at Parent Square, I am noticing that we are busy and possibly forgetting to send the Monday Morning Message. Please make sure this is sent out weekly (I do not care if it is on a Monday).
The Get Your Teach On National Conference will be held in Grapevine (The Gaylord) on June 25-28th this year. I am able to send about 4 teachers. Information about the conference can be found here. Scroll down and look at all the different sessions they have for each grade level!
If you are interested in attending and can commit to all four days of the conference, please email me and let me know. You must be able to attend all of the days. Please let me know by 1/20.
FYI—This community partner would like to visit campuses during Dental Month (February). If you have interest in this for your grade level or class, please reach out to Chanel Lewis from Smile Magic. Her information is on the flyer.
