CARROLLTON ELEMENTARY DASHBOARD

Week of December 12

Professional Workday Calendar Academic Calendar Paraprofessional Workday Calendar Assessment Calendar Teacher Calendar

Instructional Coaching Calendar District Professional Development Calendar CFB Grading Calendar

Next week, our staff will receive the annual survey email from Upbeat. I'm asking you to take this survey so we (the administration) can get feedback on our school's culture and feelings on the workplace here. Much of the information within the survey is used in the campus improvement plan.

The survey is completely anonymous to me and our school leaders. Please answer each question as honestly as possible as this gives us a chance to gauge our school's effectiveness in several areas mid-year and direct any school-wide improvements. The survey administration window is January 9 through January 20. Thanks!

Welcome Mrs. Cheyenne Hutcheson, Interventionist (Focusing on Dyslexia and Phonics)!

Hi! My name is Cheyenne Hutcheson and I can’t wait to join the Carrollton Elementary staff. I graduated from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science and have taught first grade for two years. I am married to my college sweetheart, Dylan, and we have a sweet fur-baby, Gus. We recently moved to the area from Wichita Falls and we can not wait to plant some roots here!

Welcome Ms. Jeanne Fee, Interventionist (Focusing on Special Education Support)!

I am a recent UNT grad ready to start her career (finally)! Personally, I enjoy digital art, crochet, video games, and fostering puppies. Professionally, I have an intense drive to be helpful and love working with kids. I really genuinely care about public education as a concept and giving students of all backgrounds a good start to life. I'm inexperienced but eager to learn! Thank you for having me!

The Citizen's Bond Committee has met 8 times throughout the year to develop a plan and determine if there is a need for a bond election. The committee has placed Carrollton Elementary as a high-needs campus and the majority has determined that if the board decides to take action and hold a bond election, Carrollton Elementary could be recommended for a rebuild.

What is the next step?

Want to keep up with the updates? Check out the bond committee website.

ISIP

As a reminder, our K-2 students need to complete the January ISIP assessment by January 13th.

Please plan for all students to complete the assessment for January.

Request from Parents for School Recommendations

This is the time of year when parents may begin asking teachers, counselors, or administrators to write reference letters for acceptance into private or charter schools. CFBISD has taken a stance on this many years ago that this is not something that we do.

If you get a request, please forward to me. I have standard CFBISD responses that I send to families.

Thank you.
