UNIVERSITY OF BRASILIA NATURAL RESOURCES LAW AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH GROUP
The Research Group on the Law of Natural Resources and Sustainability (portuguese acronym GERN) is integrated into the Faculty of Law of the University of Brasilia and into the research area entitled “Internalization, Labour and Sustainability”, which focuses on Sustainability, Environment and Human Rights. The group's general goal is to improve the legal analysis of the implementation of sustainable development. This perspective requires the study of the use of public and private legal instruments, as well as national, international and transnational tools. It is important to be able to articulate economic, social and environmental policies for a proper connection between different areas and perspectives. It articulates nationally and internationally, sustainability human rights, environmental law, economic law, law of the sea, civil law, among others objects of concern. In 2010, GERN was officially incorporated to the School of Law Research Center on Law and Regulation.
GRUPO DE ESTUDOS EM DIREITO, RECURSOS NATURAIS E SUSTENTABILIDADE DA UNB
O Grupo de Estudos em Direito, Recursos Naturais e Sustentabilidade, da Universidade de Brasília (GERN/UnB), é um grupo de pesquisa e trabalho registrado, por intermédio do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito da UnB, no Diretório de Grupos de Pesquisa do CNPq e oficialmente reconhecido por Ato da Direção da Faculdade de Direito da UnB como grupo de pesquisa integrante de seu Núcleo de Direito Setorial e Regulatório. O Grupo de Estudos em Direito, Recursos Naturais e Sustentabilidade está integrado à Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Brasília e à linha Internalização, Trabalho e Sustentabilidade da Pós-Graduação sublinha Sustentabilidade, Meio Ambiente e Direitos Humanos. O grupo tem como objetivo geral a análise jurídica da implementação do desenvolvimento sustentável. Essa perspectiva requer o estudo da utilização de instrumentos públicos e privados, nacionais, internacionais e transnacionais, capazes de articular políticas econômicas, sociais e ambientais para uma adequada conexão entre diversas áreas e perspectivas. Destarte, pesquisas que articulem, nacional e internacionalmente, a sustentabilidade com os direitos humanos, o direito ambiental, o direito econômico, o direito do mar, o direito civil, entre outros, são objeto de estudo dessa linha.
