Have you ever thought what it would be like if your parents couldn't afford a house for you to live in? It would be quite scary. This book, Fly Away Home, tells the story of a boy and his dad who were going through a difficult time in their lives and didn't have anywhere to live for a few weeks.
Your teacher will read this book to you.
How could people show compassion in a situation like this?
Read this poem aloud to a partner with the best expression you can. Then glue it into your poetry book.
You will PRACTISE the poem you have chosen. Your teacher will give you some examples of how to present while glancing at your poem.
Find as many adjectives and adverbs as you can in Fly Away Home. Remember that adjectives describe nouns, and adverbs tell us how, when or where actions take place.

Review vocabulary numerator, denominator and equivalent fraction.
Review work done last week on Equivalent fractions. If necessary, catch up on activities not done.
Then complete this worksheet in Seesaw.
Work out what the mystery fraction is in the following two challenges. Read each clue carefully and remember to "cross out" all the ones that couldn't fit that clue. Remember that the denominator is the number at the bottom which tells you how many parts the whole is divided into, and the numerator is the number at the top which tells you how many parts we are counting in this fraction.

- The rest of the class are patients. If a patient is tagged they need to hold that area with one of their hands. The next time they are tagged they need to hold that area with the second hand.
-The third time they are tagged they need to hop on one leg.
