The story of The Peasant Prince was written for children.Ā Li Cunxin's story was written in a book for adults called Mao's Last Dancer.

Peasant - a peasant is a very poor person.Ā Usually someone who lives outside of the city and who has to grow as much of their own food as possible because they don't have naough money to buy food
Quiver - something that quivers is shaking gently, either from fear or from the cold
Bleak - something that is bleak is gloomy and doesn't look very inviting or cheerful
Survive - to survive means to keep going or to keep living in difficult situations

Try to improve the sentence by adding WOW words.
Then try to write a sentence following a similar pattern for some writing of your own.
Adverbs tell us how, when or where actions happen - they describe the verbs/action words.Ā They help to make our writing more interesting.
