Week's Objective: Students will reflect upon how what they've learned this Learning Cycle shapes their view of their neighborhood and their future. Students will also work with peers to review and revise completed work, focusing heavily on formal grammar, objective tone, and advanced vocabulary (ELA 4.4).
Monday, January 26th: Students will be asked upon the last Learning Cycle and consider their own future.
Students will be asked to write their reflection using specific content discussed throughout this learning cycle. We will then have a discussion in class on their responses.
Tuesday, January 27th - Thursday, January 29th: Last week, students completed an ACQC asking them to analyze the effects of systemic racism on individual lives and communities. This week, students will be completing both a self- and a peer- edit of their work to ensure their work is the best possible product. Students will complete the Self/Peer Edit Form handed out in class. (ELA 4.4, HOS 1.4)
Tuesday: Self edit
Wednesday: Peer edit
Thursday: Final Revisions
Final ACQC will be due end of class on Thursday, January 29th.
