Week 2 Objective: We will use this week to introduce the mindset we will use to approach political, social, economic, and historical conversations. We will try to reorganize the concept of why we study social studies. We will also introduce our discussion on human rights as that is the moral foundation we will use to analyze the circumstances African Americans face today and have faced historically. Students will also complete a writing pre-assessment asking them to analyze an article on the importance of knowing your rights. (HIS 1.1/ ELA 4.1/ ELA 4.2)
