Week 11 Objective: Students will work to define systemic racism and analyze the impact that it has in shaping American society. Students will then use this to analyze the impact of systemic racism on their neighborhoods over the next few weeks.

Tuesday, November 12th - Introduction to Systemic Racism article - Define Unknown Words
Students will continue working on annotation skills while creating a definition for systemic racism. (ELA 2.1)
Students need to come to class on Wednesday having all unknown words defined.
Wednesday, November 13th - Systemic Racism Article. As a class, we will work through the article. Students will annotate and hold discussions in small groups about the article, section-by-section. For each section, we will reconvene as a class to identify the main point of the article. Today - Introduction and Definition of Systemic Racism (ELA 2.1)
