Another state qualifier is officially in the books, bringing our team one step closer to the 2026 State Competition next month. Last weekend, our archers traveled to Shannon Johnson Elementary to compete in a bullseye state qualifier, where they earned an impressive second-place finish. The team continues to prove that their hard work and focus are paying off as the season moves forward.
For the high school boys, Logan Flaugh led the way with a 1st-place finish, while Logan Clark secured 5th place, adding more points to the team’s strong overall performance.
On the girls’ side, Jolie Cochran placed 7th, contributing to another solid showing for Boyle County.
Looking ahead, the team will compete again on February 28th at Boyle County High School. However, this isn’t just any tournament — it’s Senior Night. Be sure to come out and support our senior archers as we celebrate their dedication and wish them the best in their future endeavors.

Title: Cupid’s Arrow
On Valentine's Day, the archery team had a tournament at Woodford County and got 2nd place once again! It seems that with the power of doughnuts in the morning and some time with friends, the archers shot straight and true on the holiday. With archery going as well as this, we can hope for an amazing score at state later on this season.
Logan Flaugh got 1st, Logan Clark got 2nd, Milo Wetmore got 4th, and Jackson Caudill got 7th for the high school boys.
Jolie Cochran got 9th for the high school girls.
Next up, the team will be going to Foley County for another bullseye tournament on the 21th with senior night coming up soon at the end of the month. Boyle County can’t wait for another victory from our incredible archers for this season!

Last weekend, on the 17th, our archery team hosted its biggest tournament yet by running three gyms at the same time. The 3D shoot took place at Boyle Middle School, while the Bullseye tournaments were held at Boyle County High School and Woodlawn Elementary. Hosting three locations at once was a huge accomplishment and showed how much the archery program has grown.
At the 3D tournament, the Boyle County High School team finished in 1st place overall. Several archers placed individually as well. For high school girls, Izzy Devine placed 4th and Allison Goldie placed 7th. For high school boys, Logan Flaugh earned 2nd place, Logan Clark finished 4th, and Jackson Caudill placed 7th.
During the Bullseye tournaments, the high school team placed 6th overall. Allison Goldie placed 10th for the high school girls, and Logan Flaugh had an outstanding performance, earning 1st place for the high school boys.
Overall, it was a very successful weekend for our archery team, and the hard work and dedication of the archers really showed. We are looking forward to another strong performance when the team competes at the Lexington Christian Academy tournament on January 31st.

Another day, another incredible archery tournament! The archery team kicked off the new year in the best way possible as they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Last Saturday, January 10th, Boyle County traveled to Lincoln County High School and showed up ready to win. With good food, good friends, and good music keeping spirits high, the archers stayed focused and confident, shooting some of their best scores yet. On the girls’ side, Jolie Cochran shot an amazing round and took 2nd place, while Izzy Devine secured 4th place with a great performance of her own. Every archer played a part in making this win possible, and it really showed how much effort the team has been putting in at practice.
This tournament was the perfect way to start the year and set the tone for the rest of the season. The team’s energy, teamwork, and dedication made the whole day unforgettable. Now, we’re already looking ahead to our next tournament, which will be at home this weekend on the 17th. With the momentum we have right now, we’re excited to see what the team can accomplish next. The Boyle County girls KHSAA archery team, and a solo boy archer, completed the KHSAA State Championship. The team had a great time and had plenty of fun during the competition. It was a rather long and tiring ride up to the Central Bank Center up in Lexington, since the team had to get up at the crack of dawn. After some donuts on the bus and some time with friends, they were ready to give it their all at the tournament!
The girls KHSAA team managed to achieve 8th place at the tournament, while Logan Flaugh, a single archer, managed to get in a four-way tie for 2nd place in KHSAA boys.
We could not be prouder of the hard work of our archery team, and we wish them all the best for a strong finish as the archery season continues!

Last weekend, our archers shot at Woodford County High School for another amazing tournament. They had a great time, had some food, had some drinks, and definitely had some fun! Our archers had yet another good shoot last weekend. The team set out for a great tournament at the Lincoln Patriot State Qualifier.
Our high school team got second place out of seven teams last Saturday. Top scores for high school girls: Maddy Harris placed fifth, and Arielle Plott placed tenth. While for top scores for high school boys: Milo Wetmore placed ninth.
The archers had a great time at the tournament, especially when the music started playing. If there is anything archers love, it is some good music between rounds. Luckily for us, Lincoln County provided them with some good tunes to keep the good times rolling. Maddy Harris, a sophomore archer, says that the tournament “T’ was vibratory,” many other archers could agree with this statement. A handful of tournaments can be very competitive and stressful, so having a more relaxed atmosphere does better for more archers and lessens the tension.
The next tournament that the team will be shooting at is the Boyle County 3D Tournament this Saturday at the high school. It can be guaranteed that the archers will shoot their best once again.

Izzy Devine was ranked 5th, Anne Osterloh was ranked 8th, and Mackenize Kendrick was ranked 9th for high school girls.

On Saturday, the eighteenth, the Boyle County archers shot at Mercer County Elementary for a 3D tournament. It was a cold morning, but that did not stop the archers from giving it their all!
Our incredible archers shot straight and true when they came to the 3D shoot. Arielle Plott, a senior archer, says “The tournament was very relaxed and everyone had fun and made the best of it.”
The high school team claimed the third-place title at the tournament, and Tyler Weiant placed fifth among the high school guys. We are so proud of our archers and hope to continue this great start to our archery season at our home tournaments this weekend.
