The Boyle County Highschool Esports team had another awesome week from October 20th-24th.
Each player showed how much they’ve improved this season. On October 20th, the Rebels took down Danville high with a clean 2-0 win, led by Alex Harrison and Maya Sinsh.
Then on October 22, They beat Mercer county in a close match, with Jordan Lee and Sam Ng making clutch plays to finish strong.
The biggest game came on October 24, when the Rebels faced a team that placed third in the state last year. Boyle County stayed focused and pulled off a huge 2-1 victory that had everyone cheering.
Coach Laymon said the next day,“ The other team we went against got third last year , but we beat them this year”
It was a big week for the Rebels, and if they keep playing like this, the season’s only going up from here.

The final game that occurred was on Thursday, September 25th and Boyle played at home against Lafayette in Mario Kart. Lafayette drove in the win for this tournament winning 2-0.
The most efficient player on Wednesday for Smash Brothers was Clayton Mastroianni and this is what he had to say, “It went pretty well, the other team put up a good fight but we prevailed, and as for our next game I took a peak at our opponents and they seem like they’re pretty good. They have a similar record to ours, so I think one of the best things we can do is train up and prepare!”
Make sure to wish our Boyle Esports team good luck in their next three matches next week on September 29th, 30th, and October 3rd !!!

The Boyle County ESports team last week competed in a variety of games, League of Legends, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers and Chess.
Boyle stood firm winning both League of Legends and Smash Brothers, dominating the playing field in both. Although Boyle conceded two losses both being Mario Kart and Chess, they still stood high and won both rounds of Smash Brothers and one round of League of Legends.
Aaron Gorley said “ Week seven is a hype up week as we roll off into playoffs and we're getting everything together for a postseason run, but overall everything is going really good.” With that being said Gorley and his team are fighting to make a deep run this season.
After this week's competition Boyle’s playoffs will begin
