On Wednesday, the Rebels traveled to Anderson County to face off the Bearcats. Anderson county is currently a top 7 team in the state.
In the first few innings the Rebels only allowed 1 run in every inning. Going into the bottom of the 5th the score was only 3-0 , so it could be anyone's game. Then with two outs, a runner on 2nd, and the score 4-0, the Bearcats Lilly Osborne hits one over the fence, clutching the win at 6-0.
Senior Katherine LeMonds said, “Abby pitched her butt off. Anderson County is ranked a top 5 team in the state and they showed us that. They are a very good team but I think that we competed very well. Even though the scoreboard did not reflect upon us the way we wanted, we still are getting better and getting ready for the postseason.”
The Rebels play again this Friday at Rockcastle County at 6:00pm.

On Tuesday night, the George Rogers Clark High School softball team traveled to Boyle County High School to take on the Rebels. The Rebels were coming off of a tough loss against Campbellsville the night prior. They really needed to come out swinging against a pretty good GRC team.

We went in strong and Katherine’s pitching kept us in a rhythm. As the game went on we started to let up and lost the momentum we had after their home run.”

Last night, the Boyle County Rebel softball team took on the West Jessamine Colts softball team at home. The girls were coming off of two losses this past weekend and were looking to revive themselves against a regional opponent.
