A HyperDoc is not:

  • A digital worksheet
  • A digital scavenger hunt
  • A document with a bunch of links
  • An outline of requirements for a project/essay with resource links.

What are HyperDocs?

What is a HyperDoc?

It's WAY more than a doc with links! It's a transformative means of delivering content and instruction through phases of lesson design that facilitate and promote:

  • Blended Learning
  • Student Engagement
  • Inquiry
  • Differentiated Instruction
  • Student Reflection
  • Student Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • Higher order thinking

HyperDocs can be completed alone, but partnering for some activities within a HyperDoc is highly recommended.

MMTS "fit" into a HyperDoc as the "Explore" portion of the lesson design.

Critical Thinking / Collaboration / Communication / Creativity

The Barrow County School System is developing a vetted library of MMTS and HyperDocs, which are aligned to our curriculum and meet our established standards for a quality and engaging learning experience.

Before applying for this badge, your HyperDoc must first be submitted, evaluated and accepted for publication.

The library is in its infancy stage right now, but more content will be added soon.

Do I Need To Create It From Scratch?

Your HyperDoc does NOT need to be an original creation. If you find a HyperDoc that already existed and you adapted it to meet your needs, you may submit it, but please be sure to give credit to the original creator!

Exemplars will be published to the BCSS HyperDocs Library
