Seesaw, according to their site, is a "student-driven digital portfolio that empowers students of any age to independently document what they are learning at school and share it with their teachers, parents, classmates and even the world". Depending on the settings, teachers can moderate all content created by students, including comments, before sharing with parents and families.
Seesaw also has a teacher-moderated blog option, which enables publishing of specific student artifacts for a wider audience and gives students the opportunity to receive feedback on their work.
Student and teachers can access Seesaw on any mobile device using the Seesaw app or on a computer. While at first glance, the interface may seem more geared for elementary students and teachers, don't let that fool you. This platform works for K-12! Younger students can easily login using a QR code without need for an account or password, whereas older students can login using their Google account.
Seesaw is a highly powerful (FREE) platform where students are provided a suite of creativity tools with which they can create content that is automatically saved to their portfolio. Learning can be documented using the tools shown on the right.

- Depending on how Seesaw is used, the SAMR range goes from Augmentation through Redefinition. Remember, to reach Redefinition, students need to have collaborated on the artifact created AND it needs to be published for commentary from a wider audience.
