Ways to Use Flipgrid

  • Reflection on a lesson or unit.
  • Video Creations: Students upload their own video creations from another site / app or a demonstration video (even physical demonstrations, such as for a physical education class)
  • Book Talk - Students share about their favorite book in 30 seconds or less
  • Exit Ticket - What did you learn today? What did you create today? What questions do you still have that are unanswered?
  • Getting to Know You - Great for the beginning of a semester. Each child can record a few things about themselves.
  • What I'm Thankful For - Great for Thanksgiving
  • Problem Solving - Provide students with a problem to solve and they must talk their way through the steps.
  • Health and Wellness - Ask students to describe a personal injury / illness and how those can be avoided in the future
  • Foreign Language: Ask student a question in the target language that they need to respond to or provide an image prompt that they need to describe.
  • Dear Diary: Have students "act" out a character in history speaking about what they've encountered that day.
