Sutori allows students to collaboratively create an interactive vertical timeline with images, video, audio, text and even quizzes.

Timelines aren't limited to historical events. Consider how students could summarize the steps of a process, tell a story in a unique format or create directions.

Thanks to the ability to embed varying types of media, Sutori could be used in a variety of content areas for various purposes. Don't think "traditional timeline" when considering this tool!

Sutori does allow you to create Groups and invite students using a code.

A Sutori creation by students reaches the Augmentation level of SAMR, Modification of created collaboratively.

Age Range: K – 12. (See warning below about students under 13 and sharing!!!)

Account: Login with Google account. Has Google Classroom integration.

Privacy Settings: After clicking "Share", you have the option of making your Sutori private.

Cost: Free

Sharing / Embedding : Sutori provides a sharing link and embed code. You can also share a completed sutori to Google classroom. Sharing is impacted if students say they are under 13!!

Creating / Setting Up / Joining Groups in Sutori

Students Under 13

If your students are under 13 and they uncheck the box upon sign up that they are under 13, they will NOT be able to use the share button to share their creations with you (or anyone else) UNLESS you first create a GROUP and then they join your group in Sutori. Since their birthdays are a part of their Google account information, they won't be set back automatically to being "13" once they turn that age. If you need their account set back to "13", students can email Sutori Help, if they wish. Otherwise, teachers can get in touch with Sutori. If you have a group, you can send the group name to Sutori and they can then change it for each student.
