Google Slides can be used for more than just presentations. By editing the page size, you can turn a Google Slide into a poster, which your students can create to demonstrate their knowledge on a topic, explain a concept, create a collage of images on a topic and more.
Below, you'll find a presentation of Google slides created by BCSS teachers! The examples were created to either teach a concept or to act as an example for students to follow before they created a poster of their own. Below the examples is a video that you can watch, which will show you how to correctly orient your poster in Google Slides.
TO EARN THIS BADGE
1. You will need to create a digital poster using Google Slides. The size of your poster should be 8.5 x 11 with a portrait orientation. Not sure how to do that? Watch the video on the right.
2. If created by the teacher, the content of your poster must align with content that you teach. You can create a poster that illustrates a concept, a collage of images with text information, etc. You may even link images and words to content resources and include an embedded video. Your poster can help explain a concept or serve as an example for students before they create one of their own.
3. Share your completed poster so anyone in the .ORG domain can view OR upload from Google Drive into the form.
4. Complete the Badge form here or click the Apply for Badge tab above.
5. Be sure to specify the content area and the purpose behind the poster.
