App Smashing, a term coined by Greg Kulowiec (@gregkulowiec on Twitter), is the process of using multiple apps to create projects or complete tasks. By App Smashing, it can provide both you and your students with the creative means of demonstrating and showcasing their learning and understanding.

TO EARN THIS BADGE
1. Students create a FINAL product in which at least TWO apps / sites were used.
2. To submit evidence of your student's app smashed creation, you will need to either SAVE your product in Google Drive and submit it via the form, or if stored online, submit a link to your product.
3. Complete the Badge form here or click the Request A Badge link in the menu.
4. Submit a link/upload your student's "smashed" creation and tell WHICH apps / sites were used to create your final product.
The most simple means of app smashing typically involves creating an image, either through drawing or taking of pictures, and then importing those images into another app or site to create a NEW product.
Camera - Chatterpix Kids - iMovie
In this example, pictures of individual students were taken and then imported into Chatterpix Kids. Each individual video created from that app was then brought into iMove to create one video.
Google Images / Screen Shots - Google Drawing - Thing Link
A collection of images that were either created or found on the internet were turned into a collage image in Google Drawing. That images was then downloaded and brought into Thinglink to create this interactive image. 3-way app smashing!
