Becca Moore has many talents including running, acting and writing. She pursues these activities with determination to be the best at them all. One of the first things Becca started at Badin was track and cross country.
“I run cross country in the fall, indoor track in the winter, and outdoor track in the spring,” Moore said.
Moore loves to participate in cross country and track races. She excels in the sports and gets top ranking placements. She got third in long jumping in track her freshman year.
Moore also enjoys doing theater whenever she has the chance to. She has been in a couple of the plays at Badin and some elsewhere.
“I do theater in my free time during the summer, and during the school year if I can,” Moore said. “I have been in Mamma Mia, Music Man, Oliver, Frozen, Wizard of Oz, Shrek, and was in Poe-dunked and Cheaters here at Badin.”
Acting is something Moore would like to do in college, but she also wants to pursue journalism..
“I’m going to try to pursue that in college or possibly journalism. One of the two,” Moore said.
Along with writing news, Moore also enjoys writing and listening to music. Moore is teaching herself to play ukulele as well. Her favorite genres of music are pop, country and classic rock.
“I’m working on my own music right now. I am trying to get my song out there for people to hear and I’m really excited about that,” Moore said, “The release date is November, and will stream on multiple platforms. The song is called Day by Day, about the stress of being a teenager.”
Moore is excited to explore these hobbies and interests over the next few years at Badin.
