St. Ann’s graduate, Ely Emmons, a state wrestling placer, starting middle linebacker and successful student is extremely excited to get his senior year going. Ely has been wrestling since he was 5 and started playing football the same year.
Ely looks forward to the rest of his senior year while looking forward to his future life which is college.
“I want to go play somewhere smaller where I can play and have a good college experience while playing football,’’ Emmons said.
Emmons, a state placer in wrestling in 2020, said it was a really fun experience going up to Columbus to compete.
Looking at Emmons you can tell he lives in the weight room and loves doing it. He is an extremely dedicated worker but his heart and drive is what separates himself according to his peers.
“Badin was the place I wanted to be at because it felt like home and there were a lot of opportunities I could try to get me ready for the next step of my life,” Emmons said.
Ely is not set on a major yet but he has interest in the medical field as well as being a trainer. Ely wants to help people like people helped him throughout his life
“Anything that involves helping people is where I want to be, it is what I’m passionate about.”
