Senior Eli Halverson is starting his final year at Badin High School with high hopes. Halverson enjoys participating in service, playing volleyball, and Chipotle. Unlike most students here, Halverson gets to know what it is like having a parent working here the building .
Eli has no issue with his mom being at school, in fact it has had its perks for him at times. Since freshmen year it has never really been an issue to him. Especially since lots of kids like Mrs.Halverson.
“It’s kind of weird at times but since almost everyone likes her it’s not bad at all. It was really helpful and nice freshman year to get rides home when i needed it since I could not drive,” Halverson said
Some of Elis high hopes for his senior year include his volleyball season. Last year the boys made it to the state final 4 and finished 21-5 overall. Although they did not win, he had a fun time with that experience and believes they will have different outcome this year.
“This year I think we’ll be back in state and hopefully take the title this year,” Halverson said
Eli, like his mother also takes on many different missions with service. He is very involved with it even during the summer.
“I do a lot of service and actually went on a service trip during the summer this year. I went to Kansas City and it was a great experience,” Halverson said
