After a long year without fans and the excitement they bring, student sections are back. The Badin student section has had a great tradition of being loud and excited on game days. This year, led by me, Cooper Fiehrer and Ian Sabourin, The Herd is back and better than ever in 2021.
“It was great to be back in the huge student section we had and I thought we were very loud and had a great environment,” senior leader Ian Sabourin said.
The season opened on Friday, August 20th with a 27-7 win at Mount Healthy. The theme was a blackout and the students showed up in droves.
“It was great to have fans back in the stands, especially with a road game far away for most people,” senior Sam Vornhagen said.
Despite the fact the game was at Mount Healthy and a mask mandate was in effect, The Herd traveled and the Rams got off to a great start in week one.
“It was very loud and honestly fun to play again in front of the loud crowd,” junior Patrick Ray said.
With ticket limits over and fans back in the stands, football season is back and as exciting as ever. And with the Rams off to a winning start, it will only get better from here.
