General Facts:
Sylhet is the capital and commerce center.
Oil fields in the north and nuclear power plants in the south account for most of Khulna's trade, and one-quarter of Zemia's energy market. The nuclear plants, like Kurgan's, do not have weapons capability (centrifuges).
The economy and military are still recovering from a defeat by Amuria in the Great Northern War a decade ago.
Still bitter about Amuria's victory, Khulna considers Kurgan a close economic and military ally, as they helped Khulna in the war against Amuria.
While the bay on the southeast coastline is known internationally as the Bay of Amur, Khulna still refers to the body of water by its old name, the Bay of Khul, in honor of its personal history with the bay.
Indigenous peoples, the Rajpurs, were recently relocated to a reservation on the Central Blue Sea.
The Royal Quadrant displays both the Bounty and Glory of Khulna and the Royal Family.
Throughout the Royal Quadrant, pristine water and brilliant sunlight nourish Khulna’s fertile land, and hard-working technicians cultivate our illustrious crops using the most technologically advanced techniques in Zemia.
The best of our bountiful wheat feeds Khulna and when the fortunate citizens of Khulna have had their fill, our neighbors in the south and east can sample the best grain in Zemia.
The arts, dining, culture, and nightlife are unparalleled in the Royal Quadrant. Celebrities and political officials from across Zemia travel to experience award-winning chefs, museums, luxury hotels, and musical productions. All Khulnans benefit from our Royal Quadrant - Zemia’s cultural center!
The beautiful Agricoast of Khulna boasts glorious coastlines, rolling hills dotted with artisanal farms, and a deep commitment to living in a community.
Locals have embraced the natural beauty with education systems that are based on experiential learning, pragmatic arts, and aesthetic exploration of the world. If you want an elevated experience of the world, climb the glorious hills of the Agricoast--whose natural beauty has been meticulously protected by the royal family.
The farms in Agricoast are much smaller than those found in the Royal Quadrant. The ancient grains nourished here have been selected because of their natural pairing with the environment. Fortunately for locals and tourists alike, the Agricoast is home to the finest craft beers in all of Zemia.
We host the Annual Zemia Zwickelmania where craft breweries allow sampling direct from the vats. Glorious!
The Borderlands benefit from the bounty of Khulna and the history of the Northern Region. Amurians and Khulnans in this area work well together because of a long shared history, culture, and, if you listen carefully, a shared dialect.
The Borderlands communities maintain the border with this shared respect for the land, people and survival in times of need. They even provided a neutral base serving both nations during the Great Northern War. The community is simple, with hard working farms, sustainable living, and pragmatic philosophy.
While Khulna’s Borderlands do not reflect the urban splendor of the country, they reflect the strength, intellect, and resolve found in both.
The Rapjur Reservation is the home of Khulna’s ancient indigenous tribe, the Rapjur.
The Rapjur will always have a home in Khulna and current tribal members continue to benefit from the benevolence of the Royal Family. Unlike other nations in Zemia, Khulna maintains a deep respect for these “simple” people whose ancestors roamed northern Zemia before our collective history was written.
The reservation is also home to the “Copper City”, a wonder in Zemia that was built over a thousand years ago by the indigenous people of the region. Most of it is walled off for either archaeology or tourism, but a small part of it has been redeveloped into the largest urban area on the reservation.
Rapjurs play an essential role in Khulna’s energy supply and many have become dedicated employees in our state-of-the-art nuclear plants. Their needs are few, their numbers are many, and their communal ties run deep. The ancient heart of Khulna, perhaps of Zemia, lies in these noble tribesmen.
