Ideology
Amuria:
Amuria is a Social Democracy, which means that through consent of the governed the government provides many social and economic rights at the monetary expense of the people. These rights are guaranteed to all equally, as equality is one of the main focuses of the country. The people of Amuria hold many views towards each other and feel strongly about how society should operate for the mutual benefit of all. They do so by having a definite perspective on the strength of community, the rights of people, respect for others, the benefits of strong relationships, and the value of science. They protect these rights through a strong focus on trade, good military power, and people who are willing to defend their values.
It is important for citizens of Amuria to have a consistent ideology so that they can work together well to increase the equality and prosperity of their nation.
Strength of Community:
People in Amuria care for each other economically through the taxes they pay which are incorporated into equal opportunity for all residents of the country. They also support the indigenous people of the Ukugan region, celebrating this feature of diversity and preservation. Amuria is proud of their diversity, and recognizes that a culture that wants to flourish alone should be allowed to do so. Amuria is committed to protecting the culture of the Ukugan natives and helping with their growth in any way they can.
Rights of People:
All residents of Amuria are granted basic social rights, and have significant safety nets to ensure hardships can be passed. Health care is free to all, ensuring that nobody will be put under financial stress due to injury or disease. Education is a high priority, and public university degrees are paid for by the state, who also offer balanced loans for students wishing to attend private schools. Religious freedom is absolute, even though many do not avidly practice any religion. Laborers are encouraged to bargain collectively, and receive fair wages for their work. There are also extensive policies in place for child care and care for the elderly, ensuring that both groups are provided for.
These rights guaranteed to all people come at the cost of a significant portion of most citizens' income, but the citizens are glad to pay it as the social policies work well and lead to growth and prosperity for all.
Respect for Others:
The people of Amuria have a mutual respect for their fellow human beings which spans both coasts and extends to indigenous peoples. This respect drives their willingness to implement social welfare practices, and ensures that disenfranchised groups will always have people to help fight for their rights. This social solidarity ensures that all people are given equal opportunity to be successful.
Benefits of Strong Relationships:
The residents of Amuria place high importance on building strong relationships with their neighbors, coworkers, and friends. This contributes to their high level of life satisfaction, and allows for easy collaboration on local issues. There is also a low power distance both in the government and in private business. Workers do not perceive those above them in a power structure to be also above them in any social structure.
The Value of Science:
Amuria places a heavy emphasis on scientific advancement to the point that many consider it the state religion. This allows them to be ever increasing their current technological state and increase the standard of living for all residents. This also leads to innovation in the workplace which has led to a flourishing manufacturing industry. This focus on science is also a focus on the education of all people, which is why most people in Amuria are well educated.
Focus on Trade:
The government of Amuria recognizes that international trade benefits both parties, increasing the wealth of both nations and thus the standard of living for both populations. They therefore participate in high amounts of trade, their main export being lumber. They have strong allies through trade, which allows for a keeping of general international peace within Amuria and allows for quick economic recovery after any incidents. Amuria also attempts to export their cultural focus on green energy and equality for all, hoping to see more of such ideals on the world stage.
Military Might:
Amuria is a rich and verdant land that is also on the cutting edge of science and technology, and is thus a target for some countries wishing to expand their borders. To ensure the safety and continued prosperity of their people, Amuria must maintain a strong defensive military. Through expertise in technology, Amuria’s military focus is on minimizing casualties on either side. Amuria is committed to honorable warfare and does not use any tactics that would be considered an offense of war.
Valiant People:
Amuria is home to people who know the worth of what they have, and are willing to fight to protect it. Whether this fighting is done in social channels to continue the progressive improvement of the state, or in military channels to protect their fellow compatriots, the Amurian population is ready to fight to conserve the values they hold.

Regime Structure
Amuria is a growing, forward thinking, diverse country. While it is founded on a capitalist framework the country has fostered and adapted to a modernizing and ever-changing world with a massive focus on growing vast social programs and complete civic involvement with free and fair elections. The Amuria frame of government is often called the Nordic Model. Amuria political structure is comprised of an elected President, 100 member Parliament, a supreme court with 10 panel court judges, and a Prime Minister who is elected by the President. The President is elected every 5 years, unless elected to serve an extension term of 3 years, after serving either 5, or 8 years that President is no longer able to serve in any form of national, or local government. Parliament holds regional elections, there are a total of 20 regions, and each must elect 5 total representatives. Parliament members are only eligible for 2 four-year terms. After representatives have served, they are barred from ever holding political office again. While this move may be controversial it ensures consistent need for change and progression to continue to achieve public support. This form of elections ensures each region is represented regardless of size. Since Amuria is a diversified country and has multiple political parties within the government this allows for the most representation of backgrounds and ideas. While they are technically multi-partied but no one political party ever has control for long.
These different sections of Amuria’s political structure make up the three separate branches of government. Modeled after other modern western countries the Executive and Prime Minister make up the Executive Branch. The executive branch is primarily ceremonial however they still see to foreign affairs and reside over the armed forces though the decision for war, or peace must be a majority determining vote by Parliament. The Judicial Branch is comprised of the Supreme Court made up of 10 Panel Court judges nominated and confirmed by Parliament they are responsible for interpretation of lower court legal decisions and guiding the legislative branch on the creation of new laws. Lastly, the Legislative branch comprised of the regionally elected 100 members are responsible for law creation, constitution alteration, declarations of peace and war, and ensuring a peaceful transference of power post-elections. The three branches are all controlled by the founding constitutional documents that dictate governmental structure, elections, rights, and various other requirements as living breathing legal contract between the government and its people.
The three branches of government allow for a separation of powers with ample checks and balances. The legislative branch gets to write the laws while being the most direct representation of each region. The Government ensures that to pay for all the massive social programs the country has there is a strong focus on foreign trade and while government has not necessarily seized the means of production from the companies that produce the largest export of the country, they heavily enforce taxes on these companies’ profit. Even though the country is diverse with different ideas on how to run the country all parties agree to the guaranteed social programs outlined in the constitution. Constitutional rights for all people to receive these social benefits instead of them being seen as niceties. The people of Amuria have a foundational belief on equality for everyone in everything that it does, this is seen throughout its decision making both nationally and abroad. With a robust science industry focused on education and betterment of the environment for all citizens of the world. Amuria has 4 modern nuclear power plants that provides more sustainable, cleaner energy throughout the country and intends to build more. The Parliment has passed laws recently to move away from damaging energy sources. The three branches ensures that the scientific, manufacturing industry, and all corporations with an environmental footprint create policies that are beneficial for the environment, climate, and world. While Amuria has a public disgust for war seeing at as a relic of the past caused by inequality and ignorance; the military and people of Amuria are ready to defend the country their allies, and the principles they believe in. War should be a last-ditch effort when all diplomacy and other options have failed, therefore it is not with one person, or one class to determine when and where the country decides to go to war. Parliament must have a majority vote in order to commit to war or preform any military actions outside the country.
The Constitution outlining the rights of all citizens, and how the government is to be structured leaves very little room for false interpretation of these rights. The distinct representation of all regions and the entire structure of the Government body are designed to facilitate the modern ideology of Amuria. Foreign Policy is dedicated to ensuring strong relationships with other free nations, and the country’s vast military might be built and ready yet contained to only last resort conflicts. All of this is a culmination of a people who are diverse and want to ensure freedom for all, strong social safeguards, and an advanced society who his making genuine forward-thinking choices for the world, and future generations.
