Ideology
Dacca is a neoconservative democracy. The root democracy means we are a system in which the whole population is capable of voting through their elected representatives on the decisions of the state. Neoconservative is our point of view regarding both domestic and international policy. While we ensure are citizens are supported domestically to live secure and free lives, as a state we are more focused on foreign policy. We require the support of our citizens to conduct our international operations and not only spread the democracy that we enjoy, but stifle totalitarian, Marxist, and communist regimes. As a nation, we will not seek war with other nations, but we will maintain a military superiority to defend other democratic nations or our national ideals if necessary. Without neoconservative democracies willing to stand up for democratic ideals, and support militarily if required, other nations in the region without a capable military may be coerced or bullied into reforming their governmental structure. The people of Dacca will not stand idly by as anti-democratic governments force their way of life on those around them.
Domestically, we support free-market capitalism, Great Society Policies, individualistic freedoms, but also request the citizens to do their part. Being a free-market economy enables the people of the nation to control production through supply and demand, not the Daccan government mandating the marketplace. Unlike planned, controlled, and command economies that regulate the production and distribution of wealth, the Daccan market belongs to its’ people. Great Society Policies include ending poverty, reducing crime, abolishing inequality, and improving the environment. Dacca will work to assist the people in obtaining their needs but is not here to provide for the people freely. We will create a support structure enabling prosperity throughout the nation, but individuals must do their part to not lead to a welfare state. Brandon High outlines in The Recent Historiography of American Neoconservatism (2009) that, “the state could not remake society: it had to respect society as it evolved over time.” While Dacca will do its’ best to support programs which enable a well-cared for society, it is not in the interest of the government to provide for those who refuse to provide for themselves. We support freedom of choice and support the production of ideas throughout our nation, but social qualms are second to the economic and foreign policy goals which give us the freedom to live. We are a patriotic nation that support our military who provide us security and assist in spreading democracy across the world. Historically, we have seen this same ideal pay dividends by our democratic mentor the United States who “had to ensure that no military rival could come close to outspending it” (High, 2009).
Internationally, we will use all arms of national power (Diplomacy, Information, Military, and Economics) to stifle communist, Marxist, and totalitarian regimes while supporting democracies and evolving nations reaching for democracy. Just as the United States after the Cold War, if there is no anti-democracy rival, we will have a “purpose: to export its model to the rest of the world” (High, 2009). While we are comfortable being autonomous supporting our ideals, we are open to working with like-minded governments (both democratic and not) in obtaining our goals. Unlike the United States and its’ view of neoconservatism we do not fear being “constrained by supranational agreements and institutions” (High, 2009). Any country who believes in the rights of individuals and who will stand up against countries which are more focused on the economical prowess of few or the restriction of religious freedoms is welcome to stand by our side. We do not rely on non-government organizations such as the United Nations for authority, approval, or support in spreading freedom, but we will maintain association to support the ideals of like nations. We are willing to establish democratic nations or diminish totalitarian regimes using overt, covert, and clandestine means. While we will be overt in our diplomatic and military actions, the Daccan intelligence community will conduct clandestine collection and covert action operations to support our national objectives. These two capabilities should not be confused. Zachary Potter described in Covert Action: the Delicate Balance (1996) that “the distinguishing feature is that covert action is designed to influence foreign conditions while clandestine operations are designed to provide the intelligence community with information.” Dacca will conduct operations internationally to support the role of democracy within the region unilaterally and in coordination with partner nations.
We as Dacca enjoy the freedoms provided by our democratic nation and support the needs of our people. We ask the people to support us in spreading these opportunities to the citizens of the world. All people deserve the right to live in nations which care about them and provide them with the opportunity to choose what is best for the nation, not what is best for the few.

Regime Structure
The nation of Dacca is a Neoconservative Democracy, its main thoughts mix traditional conservatism with political individualism while embracing free markets. They embody the thought that people have “natural rights” and embrace tradition while rejecting opposition of enlightenment.
Given the fact that the citizens of Dacca rely heavily on “natural rights”, they strongly believe that government programs produce harmful results for the people they were meant to help (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2022). Some of these programs undermine individual responsibility and create a dependence on governmental assistance. The government and people aim to only provide short-term help for individuals as to not create on over dependence. The governments goals is to assist citizens rather than provide a long term solution leading to the equalization of citizens and classes. Overall, this policy helps to further the goal of promoting equal opportunity and not equal results.
Dacca’s government is comprised of 3 branches of government consisting of an Executive Branch, Judicial Branch, and a bicameral Legislative Branch. Its executive branch is lead by a single elected official that serves on a 4-year term and can be elected for no more than 8 years or 2 consecutive terms (whichever comes first). Dacca’s legislative branch is comprised of 400 members that make up the lower half called the “House of Mariners” and 50 members that make up its upper half called the “House of Captains”. The representatives that make up the lower half serve a 3-year term and have no maximum number of reelections. The upper half representatives serve a 6-year term and are also able to serve and unlimited number of terms. The number of lower half representatives is based on each of it’s 25 districts population while the upper half representation is based on having 2 representatives for each district regardless of population. The judicial branch of government is comprised of the “Supreme Dacca Council” which is made up of 5 judges and is the highest court.
The citizens of Dacca rely on their representatives to conduct day to day operations and further their ideals of freedom of speech, religion, and press. They also rely on the two houses to create laws that further the stability of traditional values while utilizing the “Supreme Dacca Council” to uphold these laws. Although they have a “President” as the head of state they are limited in their ability to conduct foreign policy. While they President interacts with foreign head of state, the ability to wage war and use its forces is at the complete discretion of the Legislative branch. While the head of state does have limited power in using Dacca’s forces, it’s citizens beliefs of ending communism, Marxism, and totalitarianism give the Legislative branch full confidence to use its forces for the perceived good.
Overall, the country of Dacca is run by its citizens and represented equally through federal elected officials. While they believe in freedoms, they also have a strongly rooted belief in the Zamian religion. Their laws allow free market capitalism and equality of opportunity but their main focus is in a strong foreign policy created by a strong military and conservative ideals.

People and Culture
The people of this country are very united since becoming the Republic of Dacca and advancing themselves past the monarchical kingdom of Dacca. The religious and cultural spirit of the Daccan people is still a point of contention in the west where both the disputed region and strictly theocratic Donethal attempt to diminish the rights of the people of Dacca. This does not stop the Republic of Dacca to remain extremely united. The people of the Republic of Dacca are proud to be able to work together with the working class providing the maize and the east coast being able negotiate provide the best trade agreements since having the canal next to our border. The people are do not accept anything less than their worth and know how to stand up for their republic.
