Cavan prides itself on having a sustaining country while protecting and promoting the individual freedoms and liberties of its citizens. Cavan encourages freedom of expression, religion, and individuals, while also supporting the preservation of other nations and their people. Cavan is a libertarian-based country and relies on the consent of its citizens. Citizens are expected to be honest and peaceful and avoid actions that infringe on others without their consent. Cavan also believes the right to property is essential and is an extension of them, it is their body that built the home or tends to the land therefore an extension of them, and is to be honored as so. The right to property in Cavan does not prohibit individuals from immigrating into Cavan but due to the lack of taxes required there is also a lack of social benefits offered.
The free market is self-regulated by the supply and demand of the market. Individuals are immigrating to Cavan are required to participate in the free market to provide for themselves and their dependents. The immigrants who will have access to the same public benefits and services are Cavan citizens.
Immigrants have several legal pathways for long- and short-term immigration to Cavan. The Temporary Protected Status allows for people to immigrate due to environmental or climate-related hazards that temporarily displace large populations while their communities are being rebuilt. After Hurricane Katrina, a large amount of the population was displaced but had hopes of returning home once able to. There are some that choose to permanently migrate and that will be addressed. With climate change bringing more devasting storms and unpredictability this pathway allows climate-displaced persons a safe and legal pathway while rebuilding and waiting to return home. Humanitarian Visas like those offered by Brazil to Haitians and Syrians these types of visas facilitate movements immediately after a disaster and for a limited time period. Since in both climate and conflict refugees are often relocating in a hurry it can be complicated to obtain all the necessary paperwork and began the legal process these help facilitate those sudden moves allowing them to engage in the limited social services Cavan has and seek employment.
Climate change that affects large geographical areas affects agriculture and causes long-term migration, unlike flooding. Areas with a decline in agriculture have seen large groups of populations migrate and are unlikely to return home or at least for a long period. Immigration issues in these matters are addressed slightly differently especially if immigrants wish to obtain Cavan Citizenship. A decrease in agriculture affects not just resources available but labor opportunities. Cavan recognizes the desire and potential of these induvial for the Cavan Free Market and labor force.
Cavan has labor Migration opportunities that range from seasonal workers to low, medium, and high skilled workers can participate in. Cavan hopes this would provide an integrated “skilled” labor market. Cavan’s free market would recognize qualifications or skills needed in both countries and offer training, internship, and other work programs to ensure immigrants are actively participating in the free market. Companies seeking specific skill trade could sponsor the work visas and eventually assist in obtaining permanent Cavan citizenship.
Another pathway to citizenship in Cavan is by voluntarily serving in the Cavan Military, this is another way induvial can learn and train in vital skills that contribute to their success both in and outside of their time and service in the military. Serving two years in the military would allow individuals interested in permeant or long-term residency in Cavan and an eventual pathway to citizenship individuals are interested. People who are seeking permanent residency or citizenship must provide appropriate documentation, show proof of income or sponsorship from another individual that is promising to provide support can apply for a family member if sponsorship is accepted, and successfully complete military or labor/skills training. Corporations or companies can sponsor an induvial for critical careers or positions within the company. Individuals must remain free of any criminal charges and complete all legal requirements and attend all legal hearings to follow up on immigrants’ status.
Border enforcement is limited and supplied through private border patrol agencies, these are strictly there to prevent any illegal activity at border regions and not prevent persons from entering Cavan seeking freedom and liberty. Immigration is welcome but the smuggling of illegal items and or persons and human trafficking are not tolerated and will be met by the agencies and subject to legal prosecution. They are in place to protect and preserve the freedoms and anyone found impeding others’ freedoms will be met with zero tolerance. Persons with a criminal past that include violence, theft, and or fraud will not be granted temporary or permanent legal status. The filling of an appeal and with the court can be done in these instances where one is able to provide current state and rehabilitation efforts. Depending on the court’s findings one may be granted temporary status with annual check in to monitor progress and eventually be freed from annual checks and the possibility of applying for permanent or citizenship status.
Cavan takes great pride in pursuance of true freedom and protection of liberties for all. The country believes in a peaceful and productive environment for all. Cavan also believes in the freedom of the economy to do what It wants with little to no government interference. Taxes are only to support the most necessary parts of the government and because of this limited social programs are available to assist Cavan citizens and immigrants. Cavan follows the libertarian idea of natural harmony amongst productive people. Many labor programs as well as several other options are available and offered to immigrants to be productive and inclusive in the free market of Cavan. Persons who choose to migrate to Cavan are welcome to do and have very few requirements in order to obtain legal status whether short or long term. Cavan understands and recognizes the threat of environmental hazards and has created pathways to assist individuals in those critical immediate situations as well.
