FROM THE DESK OF:  Adam Kurth, Principal

Greetings AHS Families and School Community,

Happy end of the 2023-2024 School YearWe say it every year- we are always shocked at how quickly the year went.  Long days, short years.

We welcome June and Summer, providing our students a well-earned and necessary summer break.  We are proud to share that our teachers continue their work and are scheduled for more Summer development time than any previous year.

The last few days are full of great events.  Often bittersweet for the parents of our seniors.  We are all happy and proud for our students who reach graduation but those feelings are often laced with a bit of melancholy as we reflect on how their first day of kindergarten seems like yesterday.

As we celebrate the end of the year and graduation, we also want to recognize our arts, activities, and athletic teams.  Many of our athletes are competing for the final time or representing our school in the State competition.  Many clubs and activities are meeting for the last time and reflecting on the impact they've had on the school.  Our students in the arts are creating their last projects or performing for the last time on our stage.   We wish the best of luck to all still creating or competing!

Along that same line, each year at graduation, I share a list of celebrations from our Senior class.  The list does not include every celebration as it would be novel-like in length, but gives  a great snapshot of some incredible accomplishments of our students and school.

Please consider checking out that list LINKED HERE.

Welcome to Summer.  We hope you can all join us in celebrating this year, all that our students have accomplished, and all that we have to look forward to next year.
