Damaged / Lost School Issued Chromebook

Students are responsible for the condition of school issued devices and equipment. Chromebooks are issued with a 3-year drop warranty which covers incidental damages to both Chromebooks and chargers at a rate of one cost-free repair per year.  If a student’s device is damaged, the school reserves the right to charge students for the price of repairing the device beyond damages covered under warranty. If a device is lost, the student is responsible for the prorated replacement cost at a maximum fee of $250 for a Chromebook and $40 for a USB-C charger. A device will be treated as lost if a student leaves the district without turning in their Chromebook and charger to the office or media center, and will incur the appropriate charges at the time of withdrawal from Fairmont Jr. Sr. High School.
