To graduate from Fairmont High School a student must:
Take all state mandated tests.
Earn at least 45 semester credits (1 credit = 1 semester) in grades 9-12 in selected subject areas as defined by the School Board. The credits earned in each of these learning areas must be standards based and satisfy all local and Minnesota Academic Standards requirements.
Of the 45 credits, the following are required:
English/Language Arts 8 credits
Social Studies 7 credits
Mathematics 6 credits
Science 6 credits
Physical Education 1 credit
Health 1 credit
Music or Arts (fine arts) 2 credit
Career/Technology 1 credit
Electives 13 credits
Note: Any individual exceptions to the graduation policy will be determined by the Administration.
