Removal From Class

Student may be removed from class for:

  1. Conduct which significantly disrupts the rights of others to an education, including conduct that interferes with the teacher’s ability to teach or communicate effectively with students in a class or with the ability of other students to learn.


  1. Conduct that endangers surrounding persons, including school district employees, the student or other students, or the property of the school.


  1. Violation of any rule of conduct specified in the discipline policy adopted by the Board.


Students removed from class shall be the responsibility of the Administration. The length of time of the removal from class shall be at the discretion of Administration or designee after consultation with the teacher but no more than 5 (five) days. Students shall be returned to class upon completion of the terms of the removal established at the administrative conference. Parents shall be notified as soon as possible when a student has been removed from the class. Students are expected to do the make-up work as required by the teacher for days missed to receive credit.
