School Sponsored Activities

For school sponsored trips, including out-of-town fine arts performances, field trips and so forth, students are to:

1. Report promptly to the specified area by the time of departure.

2. Return to the vehicle immediately after the event ends.

3. Return to Fairmont Area Schools in the same vehicle unless the supervisor beforehand has granted permission for other transportation.

4. Or the student’s parent/guardian verbally and in writing requests the transportation responsibility from the supervisor.

5. When applicable, a student shall bring a signed permission slip from a parent/guardian for out of town school sponsored trips prior to departure.

6. It is the student’s responsibility to complete all school work by the due date regardless of missed days.

7. School sponsored activities and college visits (up to 3 [three] days) will NOT count toward the student’s allowable 10 (ten) absences.
