Is it time to upgrade YOUR OS?
From http://www.darrendaily.com/upgrade/ :
My iPhone’s iOS, internal operating system, updated recently.
It said the update came with “bug fixes”, “corrections”, “faster services” and “other changes”
My phone is constantly growing and improving itself.
When was the last time YOU had an OS update?
Not on your mobile phone, computer or favorite software, on YOU — your philosophy, psyche and functions (skills)?
We all need “bug fixes”, “corrections”, “faster services” and “other changes”
Sometimes we need an iterative update. In the tech speak that is the number that goes after the period, as in version 2.1. This is where small fixes, improvements and adjustments are made.
Other times you might need a whole new release. This is when you go from 2.1 to 3.0.
This is when there are significant jumps in functionality, framework and interfacing systems.
And then, if you want to stay competitive and relevant in the fast progressing modern world, you will need to change out your entire OS system, like when my Mac went from OS 9 to OS X.
Things like a heart attack, divorce and bankruptcy can prompt the need for this kind of an OS change (although, those situations happened BECAUSE you hadn’t upgraded earlier).
ACTION PLAN:
What kind of an upgrade do you need right now?
1). An iterative release: YOU 1.0 to YOU 1.1?
Fix some bugs (bad habits), make some adjustments, develop some new skills, etc.
2). A full update: YOU 1.0 to YOU 2.0?
New job/business, relationship, focus, environment, personal network, etc.
3). Or a completely new operating system: YOU OS Leopard, Mavericks or El Capitan.
Move to a different state or country, change professions, shave your head, whatever.
