This week is social group, we read aloud the book, "Miss Nelson is Missing" by: Harry Allard and James Marshall.
After reading, the students had a discussion about the following:
We talked about what zone Miss Nelson was in when she was trying to teach her students.
We then discussed how one person's behavior can impact another person's feelings. We talked about what might happen if someone is displaying unexpected behaviors and what strategies the students can use to show examples of expected behaviors.
The whole group did such a great job showing active listening and controlling their blurt outs in class today!
