Each week, one of your teachers will post a video and a link to an activity you can complete at home on google classroom. If you have any questions about our activities, please feel free to use the google classroom page to communicate with us (Mrs. Kimyachi, Miss Camiel, and Ms. Conyers), and we will get back to you.

This week in social group the students reviewed expected and unexpected behaviors in the classroom.
The students received their social group folders. Inside is a handout of what we worked on and a challenge to complete and return for next Tuesday.

This week in social group, the students continued to learn strategies to identify feelings.
The students identified how someone's face would look for the following emotions:
The students continued the discussion about how facial and body clues can help up to figure out how others feel and how knowing other's emotions help us to get along with others.

This week in social group, the students learned strategies to identify feelings.
The students started by making a mad face. They identified how they knew someone's face would look mad. They students did the same for a happy face.
After, they discussed different scenarios about a stuffed animal that was jealous, a boy who was surprised, a girl who was sad, and another who felt disgusted.
Students talked a lot about how facial and body clues can help up to figure out how others feel. Knowing how other people feel help us to get along with others.

The students started by discussing a scenario of a student who was having trouble following the directions. Next, they role playing the skills.

Your child will be learning a lot this year in social group—and he or she will need your help! Each week, your child will bring home a folder with a home link activity that goes with our weekly lesson. The home activity is a simple and fun way for you to see what skills your child is working on. Please send back these activities in the folder once completed. These will also be posted on our websites.
