Anyone (other than currently enrolled students and staff) coming to the school during school hours must check in at the main office; this includes parents, alumni, and other visitors.
Students who wish to bring a visitor to school must obtain a Visitor's Permission Form from the office. This form must be taken to the High School or Middle School Director for his written permission and to your teachers for approval at least two days in advance of the planned visit. A parent or guardian must also sign the form. After you have collected all the necessary signatures, show the form to the Director and then return it to Val. Please note: The faculty and staff may deny permission for you to bring a visitor to school.
Visitors of New School students will be considered the responsibility of the student with whom they are visiting. Visitors who arrive at school without permission will be asked to leave immediately; failure to leave may result in the police being called and trespassing charges filed. Similarly, visitors must respect and obey the rules of The New School, and any visitor failing to do so will be asked to leave immediately. Visitors are not permitted to go on school field trips.
