Middle School Curriculum

The Middle School curriculum provides students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond. To this end, students take a range of interesting and challenging classes in the core subjects of English, math, science, and social studies, as well as in art, drama, linguistics, foreign language, computers, health, and physical education. In addition, eighth-graders typically take high school courses in subjects such as math, foreign language, science, and social studies.

Sample Schedules:

6th and 7th Grade

Morning Module 1: English (all year)

Morning Module 2: PE (all year)

A Module: Drama (Q1), Art (Q2, Q3), Computers (Q4)

B Module: Linguistics (all year)

C Module: Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 (all year)

Afternoon Module: History (Q1, Q2), Science (Q3, Q4)


8th Grade

Morning Module 1: English (all year)

Morning Module 2: PE (all year)

A Module: Art (Q1, Q3), Drama (Q2), Health (Q4)

B Module: HS French 1, or HS Spanish 1, or HS German 1 (all year)

C Module: Algebra 1 or Geometry (all year)
