The cardinal rule we adhere to is The Stop Rule. If a student does or says something that is harmful or upsetting to others, a student or staff member tells the student to stop, and the offending student must oblige immediately. Failure to STOP immediately will result in consequences.
Students must remember that the teachers and staff are in charge. Even if you feel that the staff member has made a mistake, and was in error when asking you to stop, you must still obey the staff member without arguing, and discuss it later. If you feel the need for mediation, bring your complaint to an administrator or to the Fairness Committee for review.
