Computer Labs
We have five computer labs (the Media Center, Big Computer Lab, Writing Lab, Middle School Lab, and Science Center Lab.) With the exception of classes that are assigned one of the computer labs as a classroom, teachers may reserve an available slot to bring their class to use a computer lab using Google Calendar. Please leave the lab ready for the next class (headphones hung up, computer tables returned to their original height, class papers removed, computer screens back to login page, chairs returned to computer locations, and TVs turned off.)
No food or drink is permitted in any of the computer labs, including the Media Center. Please read the Computer Use Policy, for the full list of student guidelines.
Chromebooks
Teachers may reserve Chromebook laptops for use in their classes. Students and Teachers need to be careful that they are transported with their cases, returned to the charging cabinet and plugged in so that they are ready for the next person.
Reading Room
The Reading Room is for reading. Students can use the room during lunch or Essential Time, and also as designated by teachers during classes. There is no use of computers, tablets, phones, or other electronic devices in this space. No food is permitted in the Reading Room, however, drinks with covered lids are allowed.
Music Room
The Music Room is a space for students and faculty to practice music. No food or drink is permitted in the Music Room. And volume levels must be kept in check. The room is available for use by appointment through Virginia.
Science Labs
The Science Labs are for conducting scientific experiments. Because of the nature of that work, students are not permitted to eat in any of the science labs. Please refer to the Science Laboratory Safety Guidelines for more information about lab safety.
