The student cannot be exited because their Enrollment or Start Date in the class/group is prior to their program Intake Date
A new business rule was implemented that prevents students from being enrolled into a class with an Enrollment/Start Date that is prior to their Intake Date in the program. If you have classes/groups that were created prior to this business rule being implemented, you may receive an error message indicating that the student cannot be exited because the Intake Date is after the Enrollment/Start date. If this occurs:
Correct the Intake Date in the Student record>Student Data>Key Info, or correct the Enrollment/Start date within the class/group record so that the program Intake Date occurs before the Enrollment/Start Date within the class/group
If you choose to update the student Intake Date rather than the Enrollment/Start Date, you should also update the Start Date on the student’s first line of Work History. To do this, click the History tab and then the Work History Panel in the student record. Double-click the line of history with the earliest start date and in the resulting edit window change the start date to the same date as the new Intake Date you assigned. If you do not update the Work History when you update the Intake Date, this can result in diagnostic issues that will affect NRS reporting.
Do not update Intake Dates annually, or when a student leaves and returns. The Intake Date should always remain the initial date of intake into the program and should only be updated in the event of a data entry error.
