This will be graded by your ELA teacher.
The goal of this task is to let teachers know about the ELA Component that you have chosen. A short paragraph explaining your choice would suffice for this task. No extensive editing is needed at this time. You will need to do further editing as well as add new information to these pages

STEP 1: Choose the ELA component of your Project
Students will select one of the options below to complete during the development of their Level II project, or will obtain ELA teacher-permission to pursue a different option.
For confirmation, students must include the following information on their ELA Components Page and share with ELA teacher and GRAPHIC DESIGN & MULTIMEDIA ARTS Teachers:

Level II ELA Project Options
Journal: Examples: Progress Screen Shots (This assignment provides students with a platform to consistently reflect on all aspects of their project throughout the entire project experience.)
Narrative Essay (This style of essay requires students to tell a story of a personal experience related to their PBL.)
Newspaper (This assignment requires students to be creative, to identify the parts of a news story, and to identify the differences between newspaper and other media sources.)
Script for - How to Instructional Steps Video 3-5 minute demonstrations and 1 final project presentation.
Interview (This assignment is designed to help students grow in their fields of study by giving them the opportunity to have a conversation with someone who has done similar studies.)
Student Choice (Students should speak with their teacher on the possibility of creating an original ELA project.)

Journal: Throughout your graphic design and multimedia arts PBL project, maintain a reflective journal to document your progress. Describe a significant challenge you encountered and explain how you overcame it. Reflect on the impact of this experience on your overall project development.
Narrative Essay: Compose a narrative essay that explores a personal experience closely related to your PBL project in graphic design and multimedia arts. Describe how this experience influenced your passion for the field and shaped your creative journey. Include specific details and reflections to engage your readers.
Newspaper: Create a newspaper article that highlights a significant event or achievement within the realm of graphic design and multimedia arts. Incorporate the necessary components of a news story, such as a captivating headline, informative body paragraphs, and relevant quotes. Compare and contrast the characteristics of news reporting with other forms of media sources.
Interview: Conduct an interview with a professional in the field of graphic design or multimedia arts. Prepare a set of insightful questions that delve into their experiences, challenges, and successes. Through this interview, explore how their expertise and perspective can inspire and inform your own creative journey. Document the interview in a comprehensive format, such as a transcript or summary.
Script for "How-To" Instructional Steps Video: Develop a script for a 3-5 minute instructional video that demonstrates step-by-step processes in a specific aspect of graphic design or multimedia arts. Ensure your script provides clear and concise instructions, effectively communicates key concepts, and engages the viewer through a coherent and well-structured presentation.
Social Media Campaign: Develop a social media campaign aimed at promoting awareness and appreciation for multimedia arts. Describe the key elements of your campaign, including the target audience, platforms used, and the multimedia content shared (such as graphics, videos, or interactive quizzes). Evaluate the impact of your campaign and discuss any challenges or successes encountered during its implementation.
Reflective Blog: Maintain a reflective blog throughout your Multimedia PBL project, documenting your progress, challenges, and learning experiences. Write a reflective blog post discussing the role of storytelling in multimedia arts and how it influences the design and impact of your project. Include multimedia elements in your blog post to enhance the engagement of your readers.
Collaborative Digital Magazine: Collaborate with your peers to create a digital magazine focused on multimedia arts. Each team member should contribute articles, interviews, or reviews related to different aspects of multimedia arts, such as graphic design, animation, or video editing. Reflect on the collaborative process and discuss how multimedia elements were used to enhance the magazine's visual appeal and engagement.
Step 2: CREATE ELA Components PAGE on your PBL Site
Posting the ELA component to the "ELA component" page:
Create a new page, and name it "ELA Component". All ELA work will be typed onto this page, do not submit anything to your teacher.
It is recommended that you complete the task ahead of the due date in order to receive feedback from your ELA teacher and achieve the highest score possible.
It is also recommended that you insert a few pieces of media to make your page look even better.
Always keep in mind that your website needs to look as professional as possible.

NOTE TO STUDENTS:
As part of the year-long PBL project, students are expected to submit a one-page detailed document for the ELA component. This requirement promotes comprehensive exploration and analysis of the chosen topic, encouraging students to go beyond short answers and engage in thorough research.
