04 In this video, we're going to go over work porter media, so I already have a work order open here, you know you'd go to the work order or I've just got one open here so I can go in and manage media on the quarter. There's a media tab under navigation is going to show you the media attachment number, number of media items attached to this work order record. We'll go into that. Now. These are both media attachments coming from a test order specification. In both cases, these were specifications attached to the order, so we copy forward the link to the media for those items to look at it. Oh, this is the url and I'll show you what I mean by that. I would click on the media language back up to that. So there's the media, which is a website in this case, ours. To open this media, you have a open media new.
53 Select a window to add media to the order is click the add button. Now, one of the features of this, if you're using a smartphone or a tablet, when you go to the select, it'll behave differently and I'll explain that when I as I go here. So by default will give you a very short list of media attach points. Keep this media attached, screen running very quickly. You have the order, then you have the order parts. This case, there's two parts on the order, so I have two part lines I can attach to it, so if I attach order media on the default report, this media will typically not print on your work card or work order unless it's a special, you know, special work order that we've designed for you. Order part, you're attaching order, part media and print on the work order you select whichever part. Go to the select button and this will direct to a the last open files last file you open for maybe attach where the blue streak. So I have a park here and I want all patch it, so I just double click or I can select an open. Then I get to select here and I hit the attach point out. If it's part order, part media that you want to show on the printed job card, it has to be a Jpeg, a picture.
17 Click it again and opened it, so let's get that re selected there. Now you can select it like that and click open. Does the same thing as a double click in there and then to attach it, you just clicked the attach button, the screen or refresh the media is attached. Then we'll go back and Redo that in a minute. Now you'll notice in red here, not all order items are shown, so if you click the radio button above that, it gives you all possible media attach points at this point in time, the order, the Po number, the parts, the operation steps, the control plan, the control plan, character list, ristic, and you can even drive it down into attaching it to a note that's attached. The order now when you're tracking will build out even further because you'll have loads where you can attach media.
03 So detachment works. The same soldiers were going to pick the order here. Now you have the standard attach point, which was looking for a file. Now on a tablet or a smartphone. When you click the select button differently than from this where it's opening a file on your computer. I'm working on a desktop, so it's opening a file. It will give you the option to take a photo or add a file. So on a tablet or smartphone you take a photo, it'll open up the camera and then you take the photo and except it or reject it. And then once you've accepted it, you just click the tab, it'll put the address, will say on it from the device into here, you'll attach it and it will attach the device. Um, it's not attaching a copy to the link, it's attaching the file to blue streak, your version, a blue streak.
56 So you don't have to store these in two locations if you choose not to. Once they're stored and saved a blue streak there, as long as nobody gets rid of them, you're perfectly fine. So there's couple of different attached types attached new media url. In other words, you can attach a website as media, give it a description, and then with this you get a test button so you can test the connection to make sure you had to web url appropriate. There's also a feature to exhibit, attach existing media file url. This is files within blue streak. So here's a old one I've gotten off. Where this comes in handy is if you have attached or removed a file, media file attachment with a blue streak will save a note that you deleted the media. But in that note we'll save the name of the file.
49 So if I go to dash two, one, here's the same on a whole bunch of times, I'll select that and attach. I'm not looking for a file on machine, I'm looking for a file on your server running your version of blue streak. It'll filter down to that item. You can select it and attach it to the item. And there's a fourth option here. And we don't have, is built out when we do to, uh, with some examples. But with our new module called blue docs, which is the quality document management system that we're introducing it, the blue streak, you can attach a quality manual item, a quality management system, or depending on what you call them, there's Qmap [inaudible] in the site I'm testing against operating procedures, would it wherever you want to attach here and manage this tool, the blue docs as a tool manager, quality manual training manuals, whatever you want to do there.
39 So once again, those are the options for attaching and just we're not attaching this. What was it done? So I'm going to go back to an immediate link. I can now see that I have my order. There is a media I added by the name, what it is, and away at those. So these are all records to the order. If you want to remove a piece of media now you'll notice specification. Media cannot be detached from an order. You have to detach the item from the order, the specifications, attachment, you're detaching, you're not deleting the SPEC, you're attaching it from the order of Spec is held within the specifications. Libraries, if using that module, if I want to remove this media, there's, there's an edit button here. OK, you didn't go on what all you're going to basically see here is an edit field that gives you the earl the file path name.
27 Know they're both wanting the same, but in what the image looks like and what it's all attached to as well. You don't want to try to delete it there because it's going to give you a general database here because it's attached to something while it's attached to the order we're working on. So if you want to remove the media from the order, there's this button here that says you get over, it says media item. Are you sure you want to do that? OK, media's detached from the order, and then if it's attached, nothing else in the system. At some point these system will purge it because it's our what was called an orphan record and we don't store them permanently, so that'll look include medium. Thank you.
